Kema’s quarterly Retail Energy Outlook predicted a growth of about 14 percent of retail power sales in U.S. competitive markets in 2010.

This increase appears to be due to economic recovery paired with a positive outlook for competitive retail markets in the U.S.

The 2010 and 2011 period is forecasted to be one of the largest growth periods for retail power markets since it first began 15 years ago, with competitive power sales climbing again next year by nine percent.
